Second Annual Capt Hiram’s River Challenge “Tri-ing to Save Our River”
WHY: To raise awareness to the perils that face the Indian River Lagoon and to Showcase the City of Sebastian
WHAT: Sprint-Triathlon ( 500M Swim, 12 Mile Bicycle Ride, 5K Run )
WHERE: Capt Hiram’s and surrounding areas (maps below)
WHEN: Sunday, November 16, 2014 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM
This one day event will feature a sprint triathlon along with educational kiosks, entertainment, food & beverage
This is a charitable event. All proceeds will be used to benefit CCA, ELC and ORCA organizations.

USAT Ranking Divisions:
For ranking purposes USAT Age divisions are broken down into the following for both men & women: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.
Awards will be given to Overall Male & Female, and to the top 3 finishers in following groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+. Relay team 1, 2, 3.
USA Triathlon will sanction The Capt Hiram's River Challenge Sprint Triathlon. To complete the online registration process, all athletes will need to enter their USAT annual license number or purchase a one-day license ($12.00 USD) during online registration, including ALL Relay team members. Athletes must bring their photo identification and show proof of current USAT membership during athlete check-in. Otherwise, it will be required to purchase a one day license on-site. USAT Sanctioned Event
USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required. USA Triathlon provides rules, guidance and governance to set the standard for safe and fair multi-sport races. USAT Membership Requirement
This is a USAT Sanctioned Race. If you registered as a USAT member, you must bring proof of current USAT membership to packet pickup, either with a current USAT
membership card, or a confirmation printout from USAT reflecting your ID # and Expiration Date.
If you registered as a Non-USAT Member, your annual Youth USAT Membership Fee is included in your entry fee and you and your parents will need to sign a Youth Annual USAT Application at packet pickup.
