The range is only about a 15-minute scenic drive from Captain Hiram’s Resort. Experienced gun enthusiasts will be thrilled with all of the different range options including shotgun, pistol, and rifle ranges. The IRC range also has skeet and trap fields available for use. Those more interested in bows and arrows are sure to love the archery ranges on property. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service runs the shooting range, and they ensure the safety of all patrons. In fact, the IRC range is also a hunter’s education training facility. All needed equipment is available for rent, so all you need to bring is your own enthusiasm.
